The story of Randy and Olga.
|
My trip to Chernovtsy was the most romantic week I have ever had in my adult life. I am a survivor of a bad marriage and a long divorce. I had given up hope that I would ever find a woman who didn't have a hidden feminist agenda. I wanted a life partner not a competitor. I research for over a year all the information I could find on dating women from the Former Soviet Union. I heard many stories of their inner beauty and traditional values. Feminism hadn't reached the eastern countries. In my research I found Marianna's and felt theirs was the only site that had real looking women. The testimonials were heartfelt. So I gave Marianna and Cecil a call. To my delight Cecil was honest, straight forward and extremely knowledgeable. So I chose several women to write to and proceed with the discovery process that the letters allow. Of the initial six I wrote to one did not connect with me, the others I kept writing to were sweet and sincere. So I booked my flight, got my passport and visa and was ready to embark on my adventure. Then a funny thing happened, about four days before I left a lovely lady named Olga wrote to me. She picked me to write to. I saw no harm in meeting her when I got to Chernovtsy so Marianna's arranged my interviews. Vadym and the translator met me in Lvov airport and we drove a pleasant 4-hour journey to Chernovtsy. The countryside is farmlands and autumn colors dotted the countryside. Vadym and his wife Sveta are very knowledgeable in the ways of love and Sveta knows the ladies very well. Olga as it turned out was the first interview and we connected immediately. It was like electricity. Sveta suggested I meet with the other ladies scheduled for that day to confirm my feelings. This is a good suggestion because meeting someone eye to eye is very different then writing to them. After four other interviews with shy, sweet and attractive women, they all look even more beautiful then their pictures, I knew I wanted Olga. By the third romantic dinner together I asked her to marry me in her own language. Vadim helped me to type it out in phonetics. She said "yes" in English and we hugged and couldn't believe this was happening to us. The following day I met her daughter Alina, this was the icing on the cake. Gentleman, I am telling you, seize the day, if you don't you will be very lonely. The Bed and Breakfast I stayed in was very comfortable and two lovely ladies took turns making me delicious Ukrainian breakfast every morning. The entire trip was a dream come true and it exceeded my expectations. Thank you Marianna's Marriage Agency for making me a very happy man. Sincerely, Randy Return Visit to His Fiancée Olga. Since I first wrote about my first visit to the Ukraine I have gone back to visit my lovely fiancée Olga. On my first trip I was overwhelmed with joy to have met a lady not only very beautiful on the outside but beautiful on the inside as well. The reason for my second trip was to meet her family. When I arrived in Lviv there was Vadym waiting to pick me up. Vadym remembered me from my first trip and he made me feel right at home. He has a great sense of humor and he made the four hour drive to Chernovtsy easy and welcoming. First stop in Chernovtsy was the apartment I was to stay in for the week. It was the same comfortable accommodation as my first trip. Yana who owns the apartment would come and make a delicious Ukrainian breakfast for me. She also speaks English very well and she would spend a few minutes while cooking breakfast talking with me about Olga. The next morning promptly at eleven translator came to pick me up with Yana’s brother. Her Brother was my driver for the week. At eleven thirty there was my Olga waiting for me in front of the building where Marianna’s offices are. We greeted each other with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I called her my lube Maya which I am told means my beloved. From that moment on we were inseparable. Olga told me she was so happy and surprised that I made a special trip to meet her family. Her parents were anxious to meet the man who has made their daughter so happy. All week we were overjoyed to be together. We visited museums and the University and rented videos to watch together. Then the day came to meet her parents. Her father and mother warmly greeted me at their home. Translator helped me pick out gifts for the family. This is a Ukrainian custom to bring a cake and flowers to the mother and Champaign and a household gift for the father. I also brought three roses for my Olga and a Barbie doll for Olga’s four year old daughter Alina. The meal her mother prepared was delicious Ukrainian food. So many meats and salads to taste I didn’t know where to begin. As the meal started Olga’s aunt and uncle, who live next door, came to meet me, followed by her grandmother and a young cousin who lives with them. Olga seemed surprised at each new face that came in the door. She joked that pretty soon everyone in the neighborhood will want to meet her American fiancée. Meeting her parents was a warm, joyous and pleasant afternoon for all of us. We spent the next day at a castle about an hour away from Chernovtsy. It was romantic and fun. Olga and I said this was like a fairy-tale she was the Princess and I have come over the ocean to rescue her from a life of loneliness. I told her she has rescued me from my loneliness and we confessed to each other that this week had confirmed what we already knew; we were both falling more deeply in love. The only thing left to do know is the waiting for the paperwork to be approved and she will be in my arms here at home. Thank you Cecil and Marianna for having such class and understanding, Marianna’s Marriage Agency once again exceeded my expectations. Gentlemen don’t sit at home go to the Ukraine. You will live happily ever after. |
