I always had excuses as to why I never really dated much, I basically was not really motivated.  I had the opportunity to visit Ukraine on vacation and experience the people.  It was there I found my motivation as the women there were different.  Not in a huge way, but as John Travolta's character says in Pulp Fiction, it's the little differences. 

So when I got back from that trip I began researching ways to meet and marry a Ukrainian women. There are many agencies out there many of which are intent on separating your money from your wallet so it's important to make sure you are comfortable with the agency.  After asking a few questions via email I decided to try Marianna's. 

I did the 10 girl special which was narrowed down to 6. I received replies from all 6 women and they were all very nice. As time went on I established friendships with all of them and had a lot of fun learning about them to narrow my decision.

Finally I decided to make the trip to Ukraine to meet the lovely ladies.  At the time of the trip I had one girl picked out, but I knew it was going to be a hard decision, everyone of them was very sweet. Little did I know what fate had in store for me. 

After the long flights I was met at the airport by Vadim and none other than Marianna herself.  They drove me to the apartment after stopping at the market for some basic stuff. I spent the night tired but excited for what the next day would bring me.

I met all 5 women and everyone of them were fantastic and easily marriage material. I can say that they are much better than their pictures and everyone of them were very pleasant.  The big surprise came though when I met Svetlana.  While everyone one of the women were great, I felt the most relaxed with her. We just seemed to "fit".   

We went out to dinner that first night and every night thereafter until I left.  I had the opportunity to go out with some of the other women, but I just felt that she was the one.  After the third night I proposed at a nice restaurant Sasha our translator helped me pick out. 

The next night I met her mother and we became fast friends. Once again Marianna's staff helped with understanding local customs and picking out all of the associated items .  Through the entire trip, everything was handled for me. I'm used to doing things by myself so it was a little weird to be reliant on others but it was also nice as I didn't have to think, just focus on my relationship with Svetlana. 

The surprise has come since I got back from the trip.   Marianna's truly is a "marriage agency" they will continue to look out for you through the entire process.   They have a lot of experience and dispense very valuable advise, so listen to it, even if you don't take it. 

I'm now going through the "hell" of waiting during the visa process.  Marianna's helps during this step as well, so the complicated process is made very simple. 

I was able to get back and visit again for 2 wonderful weeks, love is a big motivator and in less than 2 months Svetlana and I are able to converse without a translator.  After spending our time alone together I now know I made the right choice and we will have a wonderful life together.
