The story written by Lance

Hi,

First of all, I want to thank you Marianna’s Marriage Agency for great services they performed and for a wonderful fiancée they introduced me to.

I began writing to the ladies through Marianna’s Marriage Agency in September 2006. I made plans to come to Chernovtsy during the Christmas holidays and I arrived December 21. I met all of the ladies that I have been writing to. One of the ladies – Ruslana – I talked to and realized that we have a great deal in common. I continued to see her throughout the holidays and I fell in love with her. We went to a castle during the snowstorm and I was so impressed with how she carried herself, I was also impressed with how much she did for me and how concerned she was as she knew I was not used to snow and a cold weather. We went out for lunch everyday and dinner every night with a translator so that we could talk with each other. We talked about many important things: what she expected in a husband, future children and our children. Her views about life in general and her views about raising children mirrored my own to a significant degree. I don’t drink alcohol and either does she, I do not smoke and either does she. Over the next several days we had very intensive communication and I realized I was falling in love with her. On December 26 I asked her to marry me and she said YES!!! Frankly I had not been so happy in 30 years. I met her parents and liked them immediately and the feeling was mutual, they gave us their blessing.

I guess the curse and the blessing of being 59 years old is that you know what you want in a wife and although I had been writing to the other 5 ladies I realized that Ruslana was the woman I wanted to marry. I feel lucky that I found her.

 The story written by Ruslana:

On December 22 I met Lance in the office of the Marriage Agency. Once we met I felt close to Lance, then we talked and I felt that we have lots of things in common. Lance showed me photos of his family, place where he lived and told me about the United States. I told him everything about myself, my family and showed many photos I brought with me. This is how went our first meeting. Then Lance invited me for dinner to the restaurant. We spend very nice time together and the dinner went wonderful. We talked about us, about our views on life and much more. It was very interesting to get to know Lance and with every minute we spend together I felt closer and closer to him.

One of the days we went to the Hotyn to see very old castle. The weather was terrible. Lots of snow felt down and we got very cold but it was so wonderful to be together.

We spend all days together and each day was very wonderful. In one of those days (the special day that I will never forget) Lance asked me to marry him and I said – yes!!!

Lance also met my daughter and my family and everyone liked him.

I am looking forward to the time we will be together and each day will be special, wonderful and unhopeful and filled with LOVE and care for each other.
