The story and photos of Jerome and Valentina.

Hi, It was the middle of February and I received Marianna's Marriage Agency catalog in the mail. After looking through the catalog I decided to call the agency. When I called I spoke with Cecil-one of the owners. Cecil explained to me how the system worked. In March I started writing Valentina. We got to know each other very well through our letters. A few months after I started writing I began making plans to go and meet Valentina. Through our letters we learned that we had a lot in common. We both liked to do the same things and we both want to have kids. When I left to go to the Ukraine I flew from Miami to Newark. In Newark I changed planes and flew Lot Polish Airlines to Warsaw. from Warsaw I took another flight to Lviv, Ukraine. It was my first time flying and I was very nervous. The whole trip over I had a window seat which made the flight exciting. When I arrived in the Ukraine it was snowing lightly. Never been out of country before I was nervous about customs. Customs were very easy to go through. When I exited the airport Vadim (Ukrainian office manager) was waiting for me along with my translator. The trip to the hotel took 4 to 5 hours. My hotel accommodations were extremely nice. The next day a woman named Tatiana came to cook breakfast for me. The meals she prepared were excellent. I had a lot of different Ukrainian dishes for breakfast every day. After the breakfast Vadim and my translator went to the office. Shortly after we arrived I met Valentina. When I met her I was completely overwhelmed. I knew right then and there that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. We talked for a few minutes and then went on a tour of her city. The city was absolutely beautiful. It reminded me very much of New Orleans where I was raised. The people were very nice also. While I was there I learned that almost everyone makes their own wine. I was lucky enough to have been able to buy three different bottles of wine. A couple of nights we went to dinner. Most of the time Valentina and I stayed in the hotel and talked and watched movies. We went to the park and played in the snow. This was wonderful because I had never seen snow before. The forth day that I was there I met Valentina's family. They were very nice and had cooked a huge dinner with traditional Ukrainian foods. All of which were very different and tasty. Since I am a cook by trade I invited them to the hotel and cooked them an American dinner. They loved the food and really liked me. When it was time to leave I did not want to go. I would have liked to have stayed there for a while. I continue to write Valentine and I miss her very much. We are currently waiting for her visa to get approved. I am very glad that I have met her and even happier that she said "yes" when I asked her to marry me. I miss her beautiful smile and her caring personality. I am anxiously awaiting for her to come here so we can be together again. I consider myself very fortunate to have received the catalog from the Marianna's Marriage Agency. I am also very fortunate to have met the Love of my life. As well as having met Cecil and Marianna. Cecil and Marianna went out their way to help me to meet Valentina as well as making me very comfortable on my trip. As they say in their catalog you can trust them. I trust them and you can too. I am planning to take my Mother over to the Ukraine to meet Valentina's family. My Mom is very excited for me and can not wait to meet her daughter-in-law. If you have thought about doing this Marianna's Marriage Agency is the way to go. I say life is the game of risk and the only way to know how it will turn out is to take a chance on what you want. So take a chance and I hope you are lucky enough to find the Love of your life, just as I have found mine.
